Diego is a Lead Water Economist for Eastern and Southern Africa at World Bank

Diego, Lead Water Economist for Eastern and Southern Africa based in Pretoria, focuses on climate change, resilience, and urban water security. Previously a Senior Water Resources Specialist in Mexico City, he leads the WICER initiative and applies decision tree frameworks for resilient water planning. He holds a PhD in Economics, an MA in Applied Economics, and a BS in Economics.

Diego is a Lead Water Economist for Eastern and Southern Africa at World Bank

Diego, Lead Water Economist for Eastern and Southern Africa based in Pretoria, focuses on climate change, resilience, and urban water security. She has also managed environmental sustainability programs including one within the Coca-Cola bottling system, where she was responsible for water, carbon emissions, and waste management across manufacturing and logistics operations.
